Chinatown
Vancouver’s
Chinatown is one of the largest Chinatowns in North America. It is east of the downtown core at Main
Street and Pender Street. It is
shown on the right side of the map as a salmon colored circle.
It is so
large that you will feel like you have entered China and almost forget you
are in Vancouver. There is a wide
variety of unique shops and restaurants.
This is a place you can really feel the cultural diversity of
Vancouver. Chinatown has been doing
its thing for over 100 years in Vancouver.
You will enjoy the unique atmosphere of the area with its open store
fronts with hanging poultry, its bright neon signs, and vast displays of
things Chinese.
Chinatown
is bordered by Hastings Street on the north and Keefer on the south, on the
west is Taylor Street and Gore Street on the east. Every time we have driven through this
area we were hard put to find parking
