 Location
Surrey, BC is located in the lower
mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Its northern border is the Fraser River
and its southern boundary is the US
/ Canada
border. Its western border is 120th Street
and its eastern border is 196th
Street.
The only exception to this area is the City of White
Rock which is located along Boundary Bay.
The city has a
population of around 350,000. It is
the second largest city in British
Columbia.
Its size is 308 square kilometers.
It is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada.
Surrey was incorporated in 1879.
Surrey is a self proclaimed “City of Parks.”
It has over 5,400 acres (2,160 Hectares) of park lands. There are 15 golf courses in Surrey.
