A map of the BC Lower Mainland is loading.......The Lower Mainland of British Columbia is a large area with a large population.  We have divided our restaurant listings into the areas shown on the map.  Click on the links to the left of the map to see the restaurants in that area of British Columbia.

The Lower Mainland of British Columbia is about 50 miles wide from Georgia Strait to the Abbotsford Area and about 20 miles from the US Border to the North Vancouver area.

The Fraser River

The river cutting right through the middle of the map runs from east to west emptying into the Strait of Georgia.  The River is the famous Fraser River.  At the beginning of settling the area, before trains arrived, the Fraser River was the main highway from the Strait of Georgia to Hope, BC.

The North Shore

It should be noted that on the map above the communities of North Vancouver and West Vancouver are shown as the North Shore.  At the east end (right on the map) of the North Shore is the City of North Vancouver.
