Everett, Washington is located on Puget Sound 28 miles north of Seattle. Everett is located on a hill on a peninsula formed by the Snohomish River and Puget Sound. Its terrain gives many of Everett’s neighborhoods views of Puget Sound and Port Gardener. Everett’s historic downtown lies at the base of this peninsula at the west end of a 2.3 mile viaduct of US Highway-2 across the Snohomish River Valley.
