Mill Creek Restaurants Lodging City Page Cities in Snohomish County, WA Arlington Edmonds Everett Granite Falls Lake Stevens Lynnwood Marysville Mill Creek Monroe Mukilteo Snohomish Stanwood Sultan	The City of Mill Creek, Washington is located about 18 miles north of Seattle on Interstate-5 at Exit 183 (164^th Street) and then 1.8 miles east on 164^th Street. Mill Creek is just northeast of Lynnwood and south of Everett in Snohomish County. Mill Creek is a fast growing community that not all that long ago was called Wintermute’s Corner and was only a gas station / country grocery on the Everett – Bothell Highway. In those days 164^th Street was a narrow 2-lane road. Mill Creek had a difficult beginning. It is a planned community that went through several ownerships before being finalized. The City is somewhere around 2,500 acres and was incorporated in 1983. The narrow country road that goes from I-5 to Mill Creek has transformed into a 5-lane very busy highway. As you travel east on 164^th Street from Interstate-5 you will go over a low hill and then down into a valley. There, 1.9 miles from I-5, you will run into the fast growing downtown area of Mill Creek. To the right you will find an older shopping center and to the left you will find Mill Creek’s downtown area which continues north for several blocks. The north end of the area is new and under construction. At the last light on 164^th Street you will find the Everett – Bothell Highway. This road is very busy and full of commercial development both north and south of Mill Creek. If you continue east at the intersection of 164^th and the Everett – Bothell Highway you will enter the planned community area of Mill Creek which is wholly residential.
