Sultan is
about 22 miles east of Everett, WA on US Highway-2 which is on its way to
Stevens Pass over the Cascade Mountains.
Sultan
was established in the 1880’s but not formally incorporated until
1905. Its original economic base was
mining, logging, and agriculture.
Today
Sultan has a population of nearly 5,000 and is becoming a bedroom community
to both the Seattle and Everett areas.
