WA-105 goes around the cranberry peninsula to the Cranberry Coast at the peninsula’s west end. This loop is 48 miles full of tourist
facilities which include two State Parks.

8 miles south of the Junction with Highway 105 is Clark’s Restaurant. This restaurant is a surprise in the
wilderness. You will miss a
northwest experience if you don’t include a stop at this restaurant in your
plans. They are open for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner. The dress is
casual, the décor is northwest historic, and the menu is traditional
northwest with food that is unique and wonderful.

Junction with the southern end of Highway WA-105 which
heads west out the Cranberry Peninsula on a loop along the Cranberry Coast

– Long Beach Peninsula
This highway goes to Ilwaco, Long Beach,
and Ocean Park
all on the Long Beach
Peninsula. This peninsula has what is claimed to be the
longest sandy beach in the world.

The photo shows the gate to Fort Columbia
State Park. This park is a day use park on the only
coastal defense site that is still
fully intact. The base operated from
1896 to 1947. This is a 593 acre
park with 6,400 feet of beach on the Columbia River.
There is an interpretive center and an observation
station. There is no camping at this
State Park but there are several historic buildings you can rent for vacations
and for social events.
