Richland?
West Richland is the
fastest growing community in Benton County Washington. Benton County is located in Washington
State’s wine country. In the map of
Washington to the left Benton County is shown in yellow and the rest of
Wine Country is shown in red.
West Richland lies
northwest of the City of Richland, WA.
West Richland’s north and east borders are the Yakima River. Highway
WA-224 (Van Giesen Street) runs through the middle of the City.

Directions
From Richland go north on
George Washington Way to Van Giesen Street, turn west on Van Giesen for
3-miles and you will be in downtown West Richmond.
From the west take I-82
Exit 96 and turn north and that the first right onto WA-224. Travel about 8-miles east on WA-224 (Van
Giesen Street) and you will be in downtown West Richmond.

The forming of West Richland.
Two small
communities, Enterprise and Heminger City, which were located west of
Richland came together in 1960 to become the City of West Richland. In the 1990’s this city was the fastest
growing community in the area. It
doubled in size.

The Columbia
All the cities in the
Tri-Cities area are located on the banks of the Columbia River or one if
its tributaries. The river and the
bridges over the river are an all important part of life in the
Tri-Cities. The river not only
brings water to the Tri-Cities, it brings electricity, transportation,
fishing, boating, swimming, tours, and a host of other attractions. Along the river you will find parks and
walking paths.
