Troutdale has a population
of over 13,000 people and an elevation of 73 feet above sea level. It is located northeast of Portland on the Columbia River. Troutdale is part of the Columbia River
Gorge recreation area.

to stay in Troutdale is the fact that it is the Gateway to the Columbia River Scenic Highway. The highway begins in downtown Troutdale
and heads east. There are
interesting view points and several. waterfalls that you will want to see
on this highway build in 1916,
