Tualatin lies south of Portland and just west
of Interstate-5 Exit 289. On the map
to the left it is just northwest of the junction with I-5 and I-205. The city has a population of around
23,000. Obviously it is a high
growth area and its main streets seem to be overwhelmed with traffic at
peak times. When you exit I-5 you
will enter Nyberg Road. Just west of the freeway the main road
angles to the left and becomes the Tualatin-Sherwood road

If you like food and
shopping then Tualatin is the place for you. Bridgeport Village
is located just north east of I-5 Exit 290 and it is a new-concept still growing
shopping village. There are several
high-end stores in the village.
Different from a mall, all of the buildings in this village are free
standing and at slow times you can park right in front of where you want to
go. They also have a parking garage
and Valet Parking in addition to their large parking lots.

You may wonder why some
of the streets do not continue in this area. One of the reasons is that the Tualatin River runs along the north side of
the town. We found two river front
parks in town, the Browns Ferry Park
a couple of blocks east of I-5 Exit 289 on the Nyberg Road and Durham Park
on SW Tualatin Road. To find it go west to the Boones-Ferry
road, turn right and then when the Boones Ferry road turns to the right, go
straight and you will be on the Tualatin
Road.
It is on the right in about a block.
