Eastern Oregon NE Oregon SE Oregon Central Oregon North Central OR US Highway-97	Central Oregon is a vast area down the center of the State east of the Cascade Mountains. There are 15 public and six private golf courses in the La Pine, Sisters, Bend area which should give you some indication of the amount of summer recreation in the area. West of Bend is Mt. Bachelor, the largest ski area in the State with 71 runs and 500,000 visitors a year. It is only one of 8 ski areas in the State.
